Some people start strong but do not finish strong. They begin with enthusiasm, but somewhere along the way the wind goes out of their sails. Life gets hard. Critics get loud. Giants get big. Faith feels small. But then there are those rare people who simply do not quit. They aren’t louder. They aren’t necessarily more talented. They just keep going when others stop.
Caleb is one of those people. At 85 years old, he stands before Joshua and says: “Now therefore, give me this mountain…” (Joshua 14:12)
Not “give me a rocking chair.” Not “give me retirement.” Not “give me comfort.” But “give me the mountain with the giants still on it.”
